Julie Lassaigne, Head of Government and Industry Affairs at the European Travel Retail Confederation (ETRC), has been promoted to the position of Deputy Secretary General.

Since joining ETRC in 2012, Lassaigne has worked closely with Secretary General Keith Spinks to manage key challenges affecting the duty free and travel retail sector, including EU legislation on food information to consumers, alcohol policy, air passenger rights and aviation security, and represented the sector on some of the key EU committees.

She has also been responsible for managing relations with ETRC members and organizing ETRC’s annual Business Forum.

Before joining ETRC, Lassaigne gained extensive experience working with clients in the aviation, food and sport sectors. A French national, based in Brussels, Lassaigne holds a Master’s in Political Science and Communication of the Institute of Political Science of Bordeaux.

“This is a well deserved recognition of Julie’s contribution to ETRC and comes at a crucial time as ETRC seeks to strengthen its capabilities to enable it to meet an ever growing number of challenges and opportunities, including the impact on the industry of Brexit,” said ETRC President Sarah Branquinho.
