Perfetti Van Melle returns to Orlando with exciting new products

Perfetti Van Melle (PVM) is returning to the IAADFS show armed with a selection of new sweets and gum (Booth: 1223).
 
A notable new product is the Mini Mentos Passport Kit, consisting of a kids’ passport with a contact page, games and drawings inside, two stamps, three crayons, travel-themed stickers, and seven rolls of Mini Mentos in the flavors cola, orange, lemon, and strawberry.
 
A new Mentos Jumbo Roll flavor has been introduced. Each Mentos Choco jumbo roll contains six Mentos Choco rolls. 
 
The Chupa Chups Trolls Tin Gift Pack is available in three eye-catching and collectible designs, filled with eight fruity lollipops.
 
Mentos chewing gum gets a new natural green tea liquid filling. It is available in three new flavors: Pure Fresh Mint Euca, Pure Fresh Spearmint, and Pure White Sweet Mint, each packaged in quantities of 45 pieces. The assortment now has a total of six flavors.
 
PVM’s Brand Manager Global Travel Retail Femke van Veen said: “PVM is all about innovation and originality. We strive to be the world’s most innovative confectionery company and we do so by creating imaginative products and brands.
 
 “In travel retail we try to ensure having an assortment that appeal to all ages. We have an extended kids line-up that provides more than just candy – but something to keep and play with. We provide in a wide range of snacking items and have suitable products for at the cash till point like our Now Mints or gum items.”
 
Van Veen also revealed PVM’s key business-driving strategy for travel retail:
 
Must-haves: PVM has identified a must-have assortment, to drive the sugar confectionery category for retailers. 
 
Cash till point: “Research has shown that 48% of travelers would like to find products like sweets, candies and mints at the cash till point,” said Van Veen. “Even 55% of travelers would find gum to be the perfect product to buy at this point. To ensure we fully support retailers in having the right assortment at the right location, we have outlined our snacking items that fulfil the travelers’ needs.”
 
New products: “Besides having the right core assortment, it stays our ambition to continuously excite retailers and travelers with joyful and eye-catching products. Perfect as a gift for somebody else or as a gift to share. We also had a close look at our gum assortment, which resulted in an optimized portfolio by replacing four existing flavors with three new flavors,” she said.
