Much needed exhibition space was added to the Palais des Festivals in Cannes this year and will house some of the prestigious exhibitors at the TFWA World Exhibition in October.
British American Tobacco, which had a private yacht in the Harbour Village last year, will move to an exclusive new exhibition space known as the Bay Terrace on top of the Riviera building, adjacent to the Bay Village and overlooking the stunning Cannes harbor.
On Level 1, the Hugo Boss and Shanghai Tang fashion brands and new exhibitors Brioni fashion and Polaroid Eyewear will join long-time exhibitors Orlane and Idesa Parfums in a fully renovated and extended Golden Village.
A new exhibition area constructed on Level 3 of the venue will be known as the Marine Croisette Village and will be occupied exclusively by Parfums Christian Dior.
The additions, which increase the exhibition space by some 650 square meters, have led to the relocation of several established exhibitors, including Guerlain, which moves to the Riviera Village, Cadbury, which joins Kraft in the Riviera Village, Mars, which moves to a big new space in the Bay Village, and L'Occitane and Smashbox, which move to the Ambassadeurs Village.
Nearly 440 companies have already confirmed their participation at TFWA World Exhibition, which will run from October 17 to 22, including to date 37 new and returning exhibitors.
Making their debut, among others, will be Formia, manufacturers of Murano glassware, Condensé Paris cosmetics, Herborist cosmetics from China, Dyrberg jewelry from Denmark, La Martiquinaise rum and the wines of Château d'Esclans.
Several brands are to return after a short absence, including Carlsberg, which will present Kronenbourg, Alizé International liqueurs, Fazer Confectionery and La Colline cosmetics.
Barton & Guestier returns to the show with its own smart stand after a successful introduction as the guest of Diageo.
All the exhibitors at TFWA World Exhibition 2010 will be gearing up for a busy week of meetings with buyers, distributors and agents from the global duty free and travel industry.
Pre-registration for the show should be completed at www.tfwa.com before September 9
