Essence Corp. adds another prestigious name to its portfolio

Miami-based, luxury beauty and accessory distributor Essence Corp. acquired the exclusive distribution rights to prestigious Montblanc fragrances for the travel retail market in the Americas and Caribbean.

The company started shipping Montblanc fragrances to its partners in July.

As a leading supplier of writing instruments, watches and leather goods, Montblanc offers a significant potential for growth development in the selective fragrances market. It is present in more than 70 countries and has a network of 350 boutiques

“Brand equity [for Montblanc] is very high. The fragrances, true to the spirit of the brand, are extremely well regarded among our retailers. Montblanc fragrances are one of the top-selling brands in Latin America,” explained Roberta Price, Marketing Director, Essence Corp.

Price continued: “Montblanc is a 200-year-old luxury brand; it has built its reputation by handcrafting qualitative writing instruments but is now present in almost all segments of the luxury business. In 2001 Montblanc started to diversify into the fragrance market. Since the first creation “Presence” to its latest “Homme Exceptionnel,” Montblanc has created sober and elegant products for men and women, always with the same respect for the values and tradition of the brand. This new addition to our portfolio fits perfectly with our long established expertise in distribution of luxury fragrances.”
